Leaked Info Teases Significant Performance Leap for Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is predicted to make its way to release in the second half of the coming year. However, before the release, we have got some fresh, juicy updates about the chipset.

The highly anticipated chipset will be manufactured under the TSMC 3NM process, which will help to improve overall performance as well as efficiency. This improvement can give tough competition with Apple’s Bionic chipset, too.

Few reports claim that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will adopt the TSMC N3E manufacturing process over the N3B used in the Apple A17 Pro chipset. The new N3E process is tweaked towards giving the chipset the power to offer lower power optimization and boat higher yield rates.

Qualcomm is also going with new Nuvia-based Oryon customized cores for the first time in the mobile chipset platform. These new cores will change the entire magnitude of performance and efficiency for a smartphone processor.

Moving on to the GPU side, here you will be getting the Adreno 830 GPU, which is a newer version of GPU for the chipset. Currently, there has yet to be an official proof claiming the performance of the GPU.
