Scott McTominay saved the day for Manchester United, leading them to a much-needed 2-1 victory over Chelsea in an exciting match that had supporters on the edge of their seats. The victory not only showed off a rejuvenated United team eager to turn the tides, but it also
eased some of the pressure on manager Erik Ten Hag, who was under criticism.
It was a brilliant decision for Ten Hag to sit Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, even when there were rumors of problems in the dressing room. The team’s talent with and without the ball was apparent after the tactical change, which was a far cry from their dismal display against Newcastle only a few days prior.

Ultimately, United’s performance was like a lighthouse piercing through the murk around the team. Along with securing important points, the victory was the team’s first of the season against a team ranked in the top half. With three points separating the club from the desired top four, there may be a comeback on the horizon.
